KUDOS to JEN TOPA for teaming with merchants to plan another successful Show on Monroe. The day-long event highlights all that is unique about Monroe Avenue in the City of Rochester. This year, the event included a free lunch, a book sale, street performers, outdoor games, live music, and a scavenger hunt.
Top moments for me:
1. Andre’s daughter, Norah, meeting Mayor Warren.
2. Talking with our former planner, Anna Liisa Keller, who helps with the scavenger hunt each year.
3. Watching Jen on stage announcing winners of the scavenger hunt.
4. Running into Bill Price, from Fisher Associates, conducting public outreach for the Monroe Avenue Parking Study at Spokes and Ink on Wilcox Street.
The weather was great. There was a lot of activity. It was the best event ever.
A merchant said that. Not me. 🙂
