We’re thrilled to announce that Highland Planning’s work on the City of Rochester‘s Urban Forest Master Plan has won the Public Outreach Award from the American Planning Association – New York Upstate Chapter! 🌳🏆

We’re excited to announce that Highland Planning has been chosen to join the design team for Rochester’s new High Falls State Park! As part of a collaborative effort led by landscape architecture firm OLIN, we’ll be working alongside other local consultants to bring this transformative project to life.

The Fund will support investments in four categories: workforce development, education, community investments, and housing. In keeping with Governor Hochul and Micron’s emphasis on meaningful, ground-up participation in the Green CHIPS Community Investment Fund, the program guidelines center on the grassroots priorities outlined in the recently released Community Priorities Document,  from the Central New York Community Engagement Committee which was created with support from Highland Planning.

We’re proud to share Highland Planning’s key role in developing the investment strategy for Rochester’s $26.3 million allocation of the Regional Revitalization Partnership (RRP), a transformative public-private collaboration that Governor Hochul announced this week. 🤝

We’re thrilled to share that Elizabeth Podowski King, PLA, AICP, has been leading the public engagement plan for the City of Rochester’s Urban Forest Master Plan Update. The City has just released a draft of the updated Master Plan, which includes planting 6,000 new trees in underserved neighborhoods.
