Highland Planning in the News: Rochester's Urban Forest is Growing! 🌳 🌳

We’re thrilled to share that Elizabeth Podowski King, PLA, AICP, has been leading the public engagement plan for the City of Rochester’s Urban Forest Master Plan Update. The City has just released a draft of the updated Master Plan, which includes planting 6,000 new trees in underserved neighborhoods.

Our team has been working hard to ensure that community input is a key aspect of the City’s forestry initiatives and is included in the draft plan. Join us at one of the upcoming public meetings to learn more and share your feedback.

Highland Planning Kicks Off NFTA Bus Rapid Transit Project on Bailey Ave

Highland Planning LLC is thrilled to kick off a new project with the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) to bring Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) to Bailey Avenue in Buffalo with our very own Julie Boasi, MPA at the helm. 🎉 Last week, we hit the ground running with kick-off meetings alongside NFTA, City of Buffalo, New York, and Greater Buffalo Niagara Regional Transportation Council staff. 💼 We couldn’t be more excited to be part of this transformative project that will bring Buffalo’s first BRT service to Bailey Avenue.
